Death by disrespectful driving

A new report from leading UK insurer, AXA, calculates that 800 lives are lost on Britain’s roads through accidents caused by road rage or disrespectful driving, and nearly £1 billion (£945m) of premium could be saved if British motorists were to rid themselves of the aggression and general disrespect of their fellow drivers that is commonplace on our roads.

Green light for electric vehicle grant

Avoidable car faults causing fleet downtime

Avoidable car faults are causing longer periods of downtime for fleets according to RAC’s latest Vehicle Fault Analysis data.

While the number of breakdowns caused by fleet driver error is falling, the severity of these faults are causing more downtime, the organisation said.

Driver-induced faults prompted almost 100,000 call-outs, with figures showing that fleet drivers caused at least 14,818 working days of downtime for the top five business driver-induced faults in 2009. Continue Reading…
