Senior traffic policeman to appear in court

Britains most senior traffic policeman, Med Hughes, Chief constable of South Yorkshire could face a ban if found guilty of an alleged speeding offence.

Mr Hughes is to appear at Wrexham Magistrates Court on November 21.

The alleged offence took place in Wales, the recorded speed was 90mph on a 60mph road.

It has been reported that Mr Hughes is stepping down from the role as head of road policy for chief constables.
